Omega Microwaves Going Strong
Omega microwave oven sales have remained strong due, in part, to its comprehensive range of eight models spanning affordable to mid-range price points, 26 litre to 34 litre capacities and the inclusion of both dedicated microwave ovens and microwave options with convection oven with or without electric hotplates.
The range also offers a choice of finishes, from stainless steel and white to pewter. Over the past 12 months, Omega’s strongest sales have been in the stainless steel finish in the 30 litre or 34 litres capacities. All models in the range are freestanding with each having an optional stainless steel trimkit.
A newcomer to the range is the OMK30CXA which combines microwave oven with convection oven and two EGO hotplates – again in a stainless steel finish. Called the MiniKitchen, this appliance has only been available for a couple of months and yet sales have been extremely strong. The versatility of this appliance has seen it purchased for holiday homes and caravans, studio apartments, second kitchens and investment properties. Sales of the OMK30CXA are expected to gain even more momentum the longer it is in the marketplace.
